Phil Entwistle

I work in oils, ink, watercolour and mixed media as well as digital photography. I'm an associate member of East Riding Artists.

I have a strong interest in how natural processes and human activities form the landscape.  I'm exploring a variety of media to create contemporary images that convey my feelings about places I've come to know well over a long period.  Recurring themes include: unexpected patterns in nature; self-similarity and changes in scale; space and perspectives; wildness and the precariousness of our human presence.

You can see examples of my work in the Lake District, at Thornthwaite Gallery near Keswick, Viridian Gallery, Keswick, and the Coach House Gallery at Brantwood, near Coniston.

Please see the Links page for more information on any of these.

Hi,My dad, Jack Woodcock was the Morecambe Bay guide who I believe you crossed the bay with last year. He absoloutely adores the crossing the sands painting and feels it really capures the emotional aspects of crossing the bay. He is devastated that it has sold but I was wondering if it would be possible for you to contact me should you decide to paint any more paintings with the bay walk as your inspiration. Many thanksDenise Farrington
